As You all know, my front custom bumper was damaged, I am planning to fix it up as it was but using a different lower lip. Any ideas? or even an entirely different bumper... looking forward for your suggestions and pictures.
My current custom bumper is the one taken from the Impreza Bugeye... maybe some pics of similar remodded ones can be very much appreciated.

Thanks to all who contribute to this thread

Coooooooooooool I like it... very classy and nice.
You got skills JJ to be able to make that photoshop ;)
But frankly speaking I was thinking more of a two pieces front than a one piece. The design you suggested J is a one piece unit.
This time I am going to do it right.

What are those clip things on the hood for? and another thing, i love those headlights :D ~Dennis

The clips are to hold the fiberglass hood. I removed the original locker in the middle and replaced it with the clips... ;)

You could go back to a stock front bumper and rear spoiler and improve the appearance of your car immensely. :D ;)

I disagree, I like the body kit he has made, an spear, even though I am poor calculate how much it would cost for 2 of what you make (include shipping. Thanks

(something classy but close to what you had origannally for bumper.)

Toy with an '05 STi bumper....don't get too elaborate with it...the photoshop is keenly good...however the design is a bit too big...the openings become too extreme for the rest of the body...I like your idea of two pieces Danny

JJ, I am so sorry my friend, I couldn't find any picture with the position you asked me... :(

Believe me the thing that is most beautiful in my kit is the front bumper. It is not too big and not exact dimension as stock, it is just 2 inches wider on the edges, that's all.
I am thinking of doing something easier and less time consuming. I will just go from my stock part and do something resembling the K-Staff for the time being... I will keep restoring my first custom bumper as I find time...

Hmm... I dont know, Id try to stay away from humongous gaping holes and go with something a little more....hmm... Less squareish and more...contoury? Hard to explain. I never was much of a fan of the bug eye thingies either, theres just no squares on the SVX's body lines that justifies putting them in the bumper.
Best of luck on choosing a design. I mean...If I personally dont like it...your like a thousand miles away, so who cares? lol :o

Nik i really understand what you mean by this photo you provided, but believe me the clearance can never exceed the limit I reached. As for the projectors, one can fit any other design, I chose the 2002 WRX design, I was planning to fill the holes up ;)

I guess the clearance can't be helped, but man, those fog place holders are really big.

I had a thought eariler today you could make a small scale SVX out of fiberglass or clay and make a few little bumpers to see what thse ideas would look like.

An idea ive been playing with, is to take the shape thats already there, and extending the all the faces and exaggerate all the curves. keep the same look of the front end. I like how it looks, just maby add a bit more of an agresive look to it :D

I think the bumper you have now is great, and wouldn't modify it at all if that's the look you want. So if you want to change things, I try something completely different.

The front of a Nissan S13 Silvia is very similar to that of the SVX. The car also has a HUGE aftermarket. You might want to check out some of the bumpers available for them, and they look like they'd be pretty easy to modify for SVX fitment.

Here's a quick example:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/BordeauxComet/32459.jpg
The S13 is getting old, but so is the SVX. I personally like the "old school" look, but you may want something newer...

Interesting look, but as you said this look reminds me of the old 1985 BMW's 3 series Alpina. Now I am in between the K-Staff or refixing my current one. Maybe I will just add the K-staff lip for the time being on my stock bumper and then redo my front bumper with some modifications when I will have time...

Heh, I knew what the picture was with only the top few pixels of it showing.

That thing is too sick.

Okay, youll have to excuse my less than awesome photo haxor skills, but I think the idea gets across with this poorly depicted picture. Basicly, the holes in the bumper come to a bit of a point (Silver spear..spear..pointy. makes sence, no?)
the fog lighty hole square things are reloacted just slightly toward the outside of the car more.I decided to see what it would look like with the hood holes filled and a decent little scoop in there(a little wider than the adventon hood's scoo but just as low) Also, the lower lip is extended out on the outer edges. Figured id put in some usefull input rather than be all like....Bumpers with big holes in them are dumb and stuff. That and I dont wanna get beat up :p :)
Not exactly my thing, but I figured id give it a shot...just not on my car ;)

It is sick alright and will turn heads, but I will have to do slight modification to it. I cannot make that lip because it is too pushed to the front, that will cause it to hit at every occasion. (especially that the distance between front wheel and nose is long in the SVX). but though, I will try to think of something. Works will begin tomorrow and will last 5 days. As for the bodywork, they will be over by the end of the week. If as planned, I will drive my car by next week.

are you going to try and make a K-Staff style bumper while you are at it? :D

TOday I started the works, and realized that the K-staff gonna take some time to achieve, the time that I don't have right now.

I had an idea concerning fitting the K-staff lip on my damaged impreza bumper (after fixing it) but it is gonna take around 2 weeks time to get it right with all the details... So I preferred to reweld my damaged lip an dgo by JJ's first photoshop idea featuring in this thread. But it will be a two piece front bumper, the lip would be attached through bolts. This way I can, if I want in the future, make another lip (K-staff), remove my current one and fit it instead. Or it will be easier if damaged for the lip to be fixed and repainted alone without doing the whole bumper...

It's all about time, nothing is impossible to achieve
