Rim dimensions?
I know this has been discussed before, But what rim dimensions fit our cars?

Dimensions?
Needs to be 114.3mm bolt pattern. That translates to 4.5 inch. 5 lug obviously. Factory wheel offset is 55mm. People have gone as low as 35mm, but depending on wheel width, that might cause the tire to rub the fender. Factory wheel width is 7.5 in, with 8 and 8.5 being accepted as plenty wide enough for anyone not producing power too much greater than stock. A few member have used 9in wide wheels. This required either fender work, or in one case an extremely hard suspension with almost zero travel. It is possible to fit up to a 19in rim without noticable fender rub. The dimensions I would shoot for when looking for a wheel would be 48-53mm offset, 8in wide, 18in diameter. 16 and 17 diameter if 18s create too harsh a ride for your taste. 7.5 wide if you are going to use this wheel in snow. -- To give you the most basic of answers for your question, (correct me if I am wrong here) any rim that matches the bolt pattern will "fit". EDIT: Any rim that matches the bolt pattern AND fits inside the wheel well will, well, fit.

[QUOTE=NikFu S.]Dimensions?
EDIT: The dimensions I would shoot for when looking for a wheel would be 48-53mm offset, 8in wide, 18in diameter. 16 and 17 diameter if 18s create too harsh a ride for your taste. 7.5 wide if you are going to use this wheel in snow. EDIT ================================================== What size tires would one recommend for the above scenarios.......I'm probably more interested in a 17 x 7.5 rim.........48 - 53 mm offset THANKS

I am really not the person to ask about tires. I know very little about what works. To date, I have not even had "real" tires on my car. Though that will change very soon.

Correct me if I am wrong....
But if I understand it right, the smaller the positive offset 35 vs stock 55 would move the wheel closer in to the suspension rather than move it out closer to the fender.

That's backwards. In that pic the SVx would be the wheel on the left. Imagine putting say, an old Camaro wheel on the SVX. It would poke out quite a bit because the center of the wheel is lined up almost symmetrically with the rest of the wheel, looking at it from the front along the rolling edge.

I get it now.....
I was not moving the bolt plate in respect to the wheel width. It actually would look like the wheel on the right would it not? (not exactly since that one shows negative offset but something like it)

Interesting.. Basically any wheel that would work for an 05+ STi would fit the SVX
