TCU Compatibility
Will a 92 SVX Transmission Control Unit work in a 96?

I currently have a 96 SVX with binding issues which i suspect is a duty solenoid issue. However, subaru techs advised it is the TCU. I have a spare and functioning 92 TCU and am interested to know if the 92 TCU is compatible with the 96? Direct swap?
