How do i change this hose???

so i have been replacing hoses as they break from old age and me working around them. i now need to replace one that i have no idea how to get to. it is the one that goes between the intake manifold, by the pcv valve and connects at the top of the throttle body. how do i change this one???? ive been out there for HOURS trying to figure this out. is there any easy way? i cant figure out how to unhook it from underneath the intake manifold, and if i do get it unhooked i dont know how i would get a new one on. im stuck.

thanks for any help!

yep, i removed that cover, also the intake and from the rear i can reach in and feel the hose and move it, but thats about all i can do. i cant feel where the hose ends though and what it connects to.

That hose gets fed down the intake and under to a solenoid that regulates the evap system.... So you need to be extra careful not to break off the nipple on the solenoid too..

thanks for that tip! that wouldnt be good to break it. i cant afford to break things (unless its a hose, they are cheap), id rather spend that money on other things for my svx.

You can try a pair of hose pliers, but if you can't get those in there, you might just have to go get some upper plenum gaskets and unbolt the upper plenum. Might be wise, replace the PCV while you're at it.

i started to unbolt the intake, but after taking out all the bolts i thought were holding it in i still couldnt get it off, it wasnt attached anymore, but something was holding it down, i could move it and all that but thats it. i just decided to put it back together because i didnt want to mess anything up. plus it was cold out and almost midnight.

by the way...... ITS SNOWING LIKE CRAZY OUT!!!!!!!!!!! today is going to be a fun day for the svx!!!!
