AT temp oil light on?
just a thought and a funny question.
i know our cars may have a little heat problem. this is what i read and learn. tranny tends to be over-heating. so we have the AT temp oil light on the dashboard. the function of the indicator light is when the AT fluid gets real hot then it will be on??? never heard and read b4. has anybody had the experience that the AT temp oil came on while driving? just wondering....

No one knows how hot it has to get to come on! We think it might be over 300F.

John - I believe that s correct. I don't have the manual handy (it's down in the car in the garage) but I do remember the manual saying that it comes on at 300 or 325 degrees. It is interesting that the manual doesn't treat this as serious!! It only says to take it easy for a while.
