Re: *Sunroof Drain Tubes
Thank you, Gene. I've saw that diagram during my search before. I'll check for the drains again tonight. So... you can 'see' them without taking anything apart? Just open the sunroof halfway or what?
I'm sure I'll feel like an idiot when I find them, huh? Been trying to fix the driver door lock actuator. Subaru parts dept in Portland has not replied on the availability and price of a new one. So I'm going to take that apart tonight as well. I'm enjoying the 'new' SVX. Got all oil / trans/ front & rear diff fluid changed this weekend. Found a chunk of gear on the front diff magnet. Probably been there awhile. Still drives ok. |

Re: *Sunroof Drain Tubes
Sorry that I can't help you more. My current SVX has no sun roof, thankfully because of the wet Florida climate. On my previous LSi, the rear tube came disconnected on the bottom end, in the trunk. I hope others will chime in since this is not an uncommon problem.
Cheers, Gene

Re: *Sunroof Drain Tubes
Subaru dealer in Portland got back to me on the Power Door actuator. They no longer carry them. So bummer on that. I'll tear it apart and try to MacGayver gears and/or solenoid.
But first, I'll find the drains in the sunroof... I know they are there!!! Wet in Florida??? I measure the rainfall at my place (15 miles inland from the Oregon coast - up the mountains). Last year, I totaled 140". And I have a very large and accurate conical style gauge. So yes... my drains had better work! Ron. |

Re: *Sunroof Drain Tubes
Thanks svxcess. I've looked at the diagram before and still can't findt the drain openings. The sunroof track is in the way of the location suggested by the diagram.
The drains are probably the problem since if I tape the sunroof opening shut, no leak. |

Re: *Sunroof Drain Tubes
It's easier to take the whole roof lining out to get at the pipes properly.
