SSM fow Windows updated
Hi,
Thanks to Mr. Ishikawa's cooperation, the 4WS information reading function has been debugged. The latest version Build 240204 has been uploaded. An SSM cable is required to use this software. Additionally, the 4WS feature is only available in JDM version L. https://grove-design-service.com/ssm/ssm_svx_en.html |

Re: SSM fow Windows updated
I recently received an inquiry about a cable for my SSM software in my web site. (This software is not only for SVX). He (or she) said he couldn't make the cable himselvs so he want to know how tou buy them somewhere?
BTW, the link below seems has expired. Select Monitor (SSM1/OBD1) USB Cable https://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=55418 EvoScan cable seems still available. https://evoscan.com/product/subaru-s...baru-vehicles/ Does anyone have it and using it? I want to know EvoScan cable is valid for my SSM software or not if anyone still having it. but, I do not want to purchase it to confirm for someone.... |

Re: SSM fow Windows updated
No new information has been received from SVX owners. However, SSM for Windows is also available for the Impreza revision, and is used by an SF5 Forester owner in Hawaii. The SF5 uses almost the same engine as the GC8 Impreza, so it is very similar.
He said that the EVO Scan cable can be used, which means that the EVO Scan cable uses the FT232R chip. I think that the EvoScan cable can be used without any problem with the later SVX from '95 onwards. There are many types of EvoScan cables, so please pay attention to the shape of the connector. The SVX has a 9-pin square connector, not an ODB connector. The '91-'92 SVX has a problem with voltage levels of communication signals in ECU which may cause the EvoScan cable to give unstable readouts and run very slowly. I have designed a circuit to offset that voltage and have published it on my website. I had a spare '91-'92 special cable that I recently sent to Mike621. I hope it helps him. So, I have some parts in stock to make a similar cable. If you or some other person needs a '91-'92 cable, I may be able to assemble it. If your SVX is a later model, the choosing the EvoScan cable is easier way. |
