Tie rod end
I am looking for an alternative to the tie rod end, which has been discontinued.
The SE-T491 made from 555Sanki is the closest to the genuine product 34141PA000, but the inclination of the ball stud is different. So I designed and ordered an adapter from a fabricator to convert the difference. The machined brass adapter arrived today, I'll install it pretty soon to confirm if it fit or not. Unfortunately, I am currently redecorating my garage and repainting my toolbox, so the garage is now cluttered with many tools and I can't put my car in. |

Re: Tie rod end
I tried to install the adapter to tie rod end. The 1/6 tilt is converted to 1/8. It looks good. I'm planning a long drive with the SVX on 8/11, so I'll install it after then and check it out.

Re: Tie rod end
Today I confirmed to see if 555SANKI tie rod ends with custom made sleeves would fit.
However, the right side one must be used on the left and the left side one on the right. They look exactly the same. I've tried moving the steering wheel all the way to the left and right and there doesn't seem to be any problem. The only difference is angle of the ball studs are different 10 degrees in normal position. I was worried that they would bend at a slightly sharper angle than the original, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. |
