Hi Brett,

Did I see you around a year ago on the M5, I also own a white one.

I stopped and chatted to someone in a white SVX at the right turn onto William Street, but I did not get the plate number.

Talking Silver SVX Spotted!

Date : Thursday, 11th August, 2005.

Time : 6:45 pm.

Location : Mackenzie Street, North Sydney.

Rego : AFO-37R

Earlier on, I had parked my SVX in Mackenzie Street, and I was walking back to it, when I saw a car pull out of a car park...................

..........I thought to myself - those headlights look familiar!

..........that engine noise sounds familiar!

Sure enough, it was a silver SVX, and it drove right past me!

Spotted in Brisbane

Isn't it funny how spotting an SVX when you least expect it can make your day?
Today, in the Treasury Casino Carpark, 2nd level I think. A nice silver one, rego was SVX-10. I was sitting in mine, same colour with the rego SVX-09. Felt funny. I have only seen two others in Brisbane - a pearl white and a claret and haven't spoken to any of them. Might be cool to catch up one day.

Spotted a white or silver SVX turning off Moore Park road at 0710 on the 23rd (today). It had just come off/across Anzac Parade and turned up towards Paddington.

I believe the licence plate was ABN-073 (will try to confirm with my passenger) I couldn't get a look at there was too much traffic in the way.

Lamenting

Sat 1pm

I was on foot near UTS city and had, only 30 mins earlier, been lamenting the lack of svxs in my life and the fact that I have not seen one other than my own for months.

I glanced up, spotted some yellow and screeched to uni colleague next to me arghhh svx! (it was about 70 metres ahead and heading away from me). He looked at me in disbelief... I didn't offer any more explanation.

It was definitely an svx- although lately I have been thinking a whole range of cars from early 90s commodores to 97 Mazda’s have been svxs. Not to mention all the calibras that get my heart racing and then dropping rapidly when I realise I have been duped.

I am missing all of you guys and think we shall have to have another drive day very soon! Maybe a pizza too

Hi SVXers

Newportclaret have been off air a while - computer gives us regular grief, so easier to just leave it turned off in denial that we even own one. Haven't seen any SVXs lately, no slipstreaming by Moshols! life's not the same anymore, must be some astrological phenomenon that SVXs are there and then they are not - or annual migration south for summer in search of pizza and good company.

No news in Newport, just the baby is in for a new alternator and suspected air leak - very hoppity coasting and idling - certain Tony's been sinking inferior petrol in lieu of queuing for a kilometre for Woolies 4c/litre off.

wild parking neighbour

Hi Karin & everyone else

I totally agree with the disappearing svx no sighting phenomenon. I have been on the lookout for you guys or any other svx for months to no avail.

My (new car) pulsar neighbor and I are having parking problems and we have been discussing this serious issue in the laundry......I’ll take you to the beginning of the saga.

This story begins 3 months ago when I apologised to pulsar neighbor for Chris watering the plants on our balcony and the water dripping down onto her car. I suggested that we swap parking spots (they are numbered) so that my car gets dripped on instead. She was very happy with this and so was I because I had inklings, but no hard evidence that festiva woman (car next to my old spot) opened her door vigorously and caused the many dents on my left hand door. I figured that my car is bigger than pulsars so she wouldn't come to the same grief. Months went by and then we ran into each other in the laundry on Monday night....
She whispered over the washing machine....."I am very upset.......G*** (festiva woman) I think she can't see, she is very careless, she has hit my car and not told me, I don't want to say anything..... I can tell it was her because the paint is on my car....."

Anyway, I offered to swap spots again and she was happy. I moved to the guest parking due to fear of dents & swiping from hard of sight festiva and told Chris he can have our spot (his car is crap anyway hehe). Problem is, I just moved from visitor spot and the car is covered in sap. What can one do?

Oh life can be tough sometimes!

Spoke to soon

Hi Moshols and pizza lovers
Just as I am lamenting the lack of sightings, I'm travelling east (towards SVX paradise) on Mona Vale Road and what do I see oncoming at about 10.50am Thursday 20/10, but a dark green with the sunroof slightly open - I'm sure that's Paulie or someone's - do I know Paulie? Was he/she at the Pizza cafe -do I sound like Dory on Finding Nemo - I actually am Dory personified because I was going to wave and flash beams at Dark Green then realised I was in the inconspicuous stationwagon - typical.

Newportclaret's alternator was fixed today and coincidentally the hoppity problem resolved with the alternator being fixed - does that mean not enough power causes hoppity SVX.

As for your parking saga Moshols - just "Ask Dory" - sounds to me like you have Livingincloseproximitytosmallmindedindividuals Syndrome - easily remedied - start playing doof doof music, banging doors and flushing toilets at all hours of the night and all your smallmindedindividuals will move out et voila, empty parking lot! PS What were you thinking chatting with Pulsar and Festivaites - you're really scraping the barrel, if you need a sighting - it can be arranged. Vee hav vays.

Haven't polished the tow bar for a while - must go.
See you out there.
Newportclaret

You saw a Charcoal Grey SVX - and you didn't get the rego?

It can't be SVX-093 - because that has black-on-white plates!

Burgundy SVX Spotted TWICE!!!

I cannot believe it - I have seen the same SVX TWICE in 2 days!!!!!

Sighting 1 :

Date : Wednesday, 9th November 2005.

Time : 7:05 pm.

Location : Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Rego : ELA - 001.

As was the case with AFO-37R, I was travelling northbound on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and I saw an SVX travelling southbound!!

..........understandably, this made pursuit of the SVX impossible!!

Sighting 2 :

Date : Thursday, 10th November 2005.

Time : 1:40 pm.

Location : Corner of Druitt Street and York Street, Sydney CBD.

Rego : ELA - 001.

I was casually walking across the pedestrian crossing on Druitt Street - and the SAME SVX stopped right in front of the crossing!!!!!

..........what are the chances of that????

Jason.

Charcoal Grey SVX Spotted!!!

Date : Saturday, 3rd December, 2005.

Time : 11:30 am.

Location : McCarrs Creek Road, Church Point.

Rego : SVX-093

I was driving down that road, when I see an SVX go the other way......

I thought - this one is not getting away!!!!

I do a quick u-turn, and chase after it!!!

As soon as the driver sees what is behind him, he pulls over! We had a chat, and I gave him the address of this forum, and hopefully he will visit!
