It is a two + hour drive so depending on the start time is when I will be there. I have the OK from the mayor, my wife, to attend baring nothing major happening.

If you want to watch the Autocross, at The Regional Cumberland Airport, the autocrossing starts at about 9:00 AM on Saturday.
It usually runs through 4:00-4:30 PM.

After that on Sat 3 miles away, TWO left Turns away is our house, where I hope people will gather, the band will play and we can cook burgers, and consume picnic food.

I hope you can make it.
OOPs, The same schedule goes for Sunday!

Execpt for the band.

I was gonna head out around 8am local time, 4hr drive = noonish baring tom has no issues with that, i really have no idea what time this whole shindig starts.

On a further note, i'm heading through harrisburgh on the turnpike, if you plan to take turnpike, we can meet in that area if you'd like.

Jay, actually FF Steve is quite familiar with the drive as he has family here.

According to the Weather Channel, the weekends forecast looks like this:

Saturday: A few thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s.
Sunday: A few thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

As I said before, that's typical for this time of year. We may get hit with a thunderstorm, we may not. They usually don't last long.

We will be home (or at least I will) all day Saturday, unless I decide to check out the Autocross for a while. So anytime anyone wants to show up and start the party is fine with us! We'll get the cars lined up in the front yard so everyone can find the house!

Regarding Sunday. Will someone be at your house early (say 8:30 AM? I will have various "stuff" for the cookout that might be better left in the shade or in the house rather than out in the sun at the airport. I also plan to bring a dessert (a cake or such).

I just realized that we can get farm fresh corn, tomatos, green beans, at the bottom of our road, at Higsons Farm!

They are closed on Saturdays, but open bright and early Sunday!
It is their white sign at the begining of our road.

Tom, what are you implying here??? i usually pass out LONG before 8:30am, and wake at 6am when i'm roasting in the morning sun on the front lawn...
