Sold my spare NZDM car.

This should free up space (and cash) for a couple more parts cars.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Replaced my door speakers.

Had the lower exterior door garnish/cladding which I removed re-installed by a body shop. I just couldn't get the lower corners to pull in, which is why I removed it in the first place. They ended up using panel bond. Had the other door and lower quarter panel garnishes done at the same time.

Checked out my rear speakers since I had the rear inside panels and seats out then re-installed the inside trim panels and seat. Cleaned and conditioned the leather rear seat.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

5-Speed swap hath begun.

This past weekend's activities: Got the seats, console, exhaust, trans, driveshaft, and rear diff removed from the car. The 4EAT is a godawful FAT LARD. Definitely glad it's out, and done leaking all over my garage.

This week's activities: 5-speed cross-member blasted and painted, HD plasma cut the spacer plates for the Gp-N motor mounts, and cut a few extra pieces of 12ga stainless for the rear shifter bracket, firewall hole plug, rubber shifter thingie holder-downer, and got the '08 flywheel machined.

This coming weekend's activities: Remove steering column, pedals, shifter assembly, and computers. Flush 08 5-speed trans, change over rear diffy parts, re-seal all the things, cram SVX stub shafts into WRX trans, change out engine rear main seal, install Gp-N motor mouints, and hopefully install trans and diff. If the trans and diff go in, I'll test fit the '08 WRX driveshaft. The wheelbase is VERY similar to an SVX, but I'm not entirely sure of the center support location.

I'll post more updates...eventually.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Junk yard run today. Picked up a few items but this was my best score, a dark wood grain vent piece to replace my faded to purple piece. As you can see the original one was pretty bad. Sometimes it is the little things that make your day.

Well, today I took the '92 beast in for its annual VA safety inspection. It passed. Seems I put 800 miles on it since last year's probing. Seems I've got a certified garage (carport) queen. Still semi-pristine at 160K. Amen.

I only put about 800 on The Claret last year.
But most likely 25k on The Pearlie!
100 on The F150,
1200 0n The Suburban,
2500-8000 on Christine....
sigh...

I tend to use the Pacifica for long distance cruises, the Miata for top-down days on the curves, the old Caravan during deer-hitting season, & the SVX for washing, & waxing.

Wonder how long this will last... Downside of living in a construction zone.

If that plug's done properly it should last the life of the tire. I've had 2 such repairs.
