I haven't reworked the entry pages to showcase that we have the engine components available now but I have at least added the rudimentary product pages for them so you can order them.

Nope, nothing beyond the original estimate of 8 weeks from when I ordered the valves and Eagle's estimate that they would have the rods by the end of the month.

When they get them I'll know. When I get them you'll know.

Pistons

These pistons are so pretty. I hate to hide them in an engine. Maybe I'll put them on the bookcase for a while.

If you want to send me a paypal payment for say $10, marked as a payment for goods, with the correct shipping address I can ship you boxes to ship your cam cores to me.

I'm using 17x6x6 boxes to package each cam
and one 17.5x14.75x12.5 box to package the four boxed cams.
(the extra space matches the thickness of the cardboard--the four boxes fit exactly inside of the one box)

Just pack each cam in its box with some newspaper and you're golden.

I may take you up on that. Thanks. I'm hoping to get the motor out next weekend.

Ok, I've got the first 4 sets of cams ground and on the way back to me now.

Chuck, I'm kind of waiting on you before I send out the next batch to get ground. The valves should be done before too long here.

Alright. I'll try to hustle it up. Isn't it possible to remove the cams without removing the motor? My Hoist didn't show up this weekend.

Tool rental places usually have ones you can rent for a day.

Yes... its jsut a pain to get the valve covers off... Do yourself a favor if you don't have them and buy the following tools...

1/4 ratchet set w/ metric socket (make sure it is a small ratchet)

metric ratcheting wrench set (make sure it has 8mm-14mm at least)

If you have these, you can remove the cams while the engine is in the car. Just watch for the lifters on the exhaust cams because they will fall out after you pull the exhaust cams... Good luck

Tom

Great. Thanks for the heads up on the lifters. I have all of the tools that you mentioned. I'm just going to start breaking everything down this weekend, so I should have the cams ready to ship by Tuesday. I really don't want to hold anyone up with their projects. I'll paypal Mike tonight for the shipping boxes. Things ship quick from him since I'm in Orlando
