Oh Chike, how little you know! The only thing Bill will be fast at is coming up with an excuse as to why he can't make it Friday afternoon. I'm thinking that his pet iguana is going to eat his cat and need to go to the vet.

BTW, anybody know what time registration is on Saturday? I can't seem to located it online.

The curb did the most damage. It rolled the driverside rear tire under. It took about 20 people an hour to push it onto a trailer before the racing could re-(zoom).

Schedule with times

OK guy's,

I got another e-mail about the Challenge. This on has times for everything. Remember things happen throughout the event that can slow the event down, or something could finish early allowing the next part to start early.

Be early and you wont have any worries. Also, make sure you check in to work. You wont get any results from your runs if you dont. They just delete them.

Folks -
This is the schedule we'd like to stick to for saturday's subaru challenge.

7:00am - Driver Registration opens
7:15am - Tech opens
8:00am - Course open for walk throughs
8:00am - Registration closes
8:15am - Tech closes
8:15am - Novice Walkthrough begins
8:40am - Driver's meeting
8:50am - Workers check in
9:00am - First Car Off - Morning
12:00pm - Lunch and course open for walk throughs
12:45pm - Workers check in
1:00pm - First Car Off - Afternoon
3:00pm - Prep for Challenge Rounds
3:30pm - First Car Off - Challenge Round

Gee, for some reason the server for your url "can't be found" ....wonder if it's because the pics can't be found either....oh, what's that sound? Oh, it's the sound of the RaceCar running on rims

Opps, sorry, just found the pic of the newly refurbished RaceCar..

Yeah, it was right there with the pic of Dave doing a test drive....looks like they had a little problem mounting the tires...

Chike - I don't think you can "legally" go to a wider tire in DS, you can't go any wider than the widest tire the car came from the factory with (yet another reason why I went to ESP...)

Ben,
Yeah, that link is even more worthless Care to provide a little more detail as to what link within the page we're supposed to use?

Oh, I was able to find another pic from when you and Dave "checked out" the new rims/tires....why didn't you tell us you had to change one of them while you out testing?

Guidance (for what it's worth) out of the 2005 Rule book:

13.3 TIRES
Any tire which is OE on a car eligible for Stock Category may be used.

...so, it looks likes as long as at least one car in DS comes from the factory with 245 tires you're good

-Bill

Worthless? Well you know we ran them at states and there are pictures of states if you follow the link that says photos and movies. Pretty worthless huh. I think we're on the 2nd to last webpage. 120-160 or so.

Definately not our tires. Remember we're only turning 23.5 inches of diameter so we should probably be geared higher than you will be with your 4.44 and us with our 4.11 tranny. Yet another reason why you'll come up with an excuse not to show!

RaceCar looking "mean" at States with 275/45-16 Hoosiers on stock SVX rims and 1" thick spacers. FYI -- this means that they're running ~30mm positive offset

Dave,
Of course I can........what's your name again?

Think we've got a communication problem....my initial reference to tires being mounted and pics was meant to be a "I've got my 275s mounted and will post pics as soon as I've got them on the car this Thursday....unlike the RaceCar's bias plys which apparently won't be mounted on the car until Saturday morning, so there won't be any pics unless people take their own at Ripken" comment

Oh, and sorry, I posted the wrong picture of Ben changing the new tires on the RaceCar...here's the right one...
