Yeah I understand the S10 thing totally. But to be able to buy a new truck for $12k with 0% is insane. Payment wise you'd be under $200 a month for 48 months. As for utility and cheapness you can't beat it. How 'bout a nice used Nissan P/U. I'm guessing you'll use it as a truck maybe 2x a month if that. As for looking cool The FX45 will make you look cool for 4 years at best. Nissan is simply flooding the market with their products. Give it a few years and it will be worth the same as an 4 year old I30 is now. Even if you love the look it is definately not a timeless design.

SUV. Blech. The only SUV I'd ever own would be a Jeep or a Land Rover.

What so the scooter isn't the only thing sitting in the front yard waiting to be fixed?

If you wanted a poser mobile that didn't have good off road ability and something you could drive while not using turn signals and yapping on a cell phone, you wouldn't buy a Jeep or Land Rover either. :P

REAL SUVS are jeeps and Land Rovers... and Hummer H1s. The rest are status symbols/station wagons/things that look tough and have car chassis's.

i wouldn't get an SUV so much for off-roading - more for hauling crap. i'm no fan of SUV's, but the Forester Turbo would be great to go to Home Depot with, and also have kickass acceleration as well for under $25,000.

Ditto on the offroading vs hauling.....
Forrester is cool.......but the Fx45 has 315 hp stock....
and off the charts on the "way cool" scale.....
The Murano came in 2nd.......
Fx45 it is.....!!

but its also heavy and slow. FX45 is around $48,000, no? you could get a turbo Forester AND a WRX for about that much money.

I have to go with Rob

Trucks are for hauling. If you are buying an SUV you better be using it for SUV type things. I was at a restaurant the other day and some prick with an H2 decided he wanted a closer parking space than that which was available so he pulled it up over the curb onto the grass. That is NOT what an SUV is for, an SUV is meant to take up trails and whatnot. The only Jeeps I like are Wranglers but Land Rovers are excellent. If I got an SUV I'd most likely get a Nissan Xterra, it's the most versatile and best looking (in my opinion) SUV you can get for under $30,000.

Hell yeah. I hate SUVs. Except for jeeps and range rovers. Xterras are kinda nice but they're too new to be 'real' suvs.

WOW!! This thread is driving me insane. Probably because these sweet Nissan vehicles are being attacked, but whatever. I agree with Chicane on one point...Jeeps are great SUVs. However, "Too new to be a real SUV??" That's a rather closed minded approach. My dad bought a new Liberty, and it's a terrific off road vehicle, although the full time AWD leaves a bit to be desired. It's new and it does the job very well.

Now, as far as the Murano, FX45, PT Cruiser, and Cayenne looking the same...that makes me want to punch the computer screen just so that I don't have to read it anymore. I would defend my statement regarding their differences, but I think whoever posted the pictures of the vehicles saying they all looked the same did a great job of proving that they're all very different. Personally, I don't like the Cayenne and PT Cruiser's appearances, but they look nothing alike.

The S10 line just made me laugh. I guess I do have to admit that it's an economical hauler, but I still hate them because of the cheap interior, lack of power, and bland appearance. I gues syou can't get everything for $12k.

Now, to my opinion (so that people can jump on me). The FX45 is soooo smooth and says "I'm the ish!" The Forrester says "I'm a bland car...NOT (as it screams off the line)." I'd opt for the sleeper, but I realize it's hard to resist the lure of the FX45's amazing lines.

And, just so that nobody gets too mad at me, sprinkle in the following emotions as you see necessary
