Do SVX owners wave to other Subies?

I either wave or flash my lights at all Subies. Most Outback, Impreza, and Forester driver's think I'm nuts. Most modded WRX drivers recognize the SVX and usually nod or wave back.

I usually chase down other SVXes and get them to pull over.


Come to think of it, I probably am nutso over SVXes.

I don't really wave at other subarus unless they do to me. Usually around here most subaru drivers are old ladies, but there has been a few wrx drivers that have given me a wave or thumbs up. I don't think a lot of people even realize its a subaru, or they don't pay much attention and just think its an older eclipse.

If they wave first I allwase wave back, mostly to WRX's .
As we know most people don't know what the hell the SVX is.
I have seen several around Seatlle but only the older couple in there 80's seemed to understand I was even admiring there car.

Just last week i was Driving up 99 in moderate trafic & see a real pretty Green SVX with a small dent on the back right ( about the same place I got hit ) only his was not as bad. Any way perhaps he was to into his cell phone but he didnt look like he got why I beeped beeped at him & was looking at me like ( Am I supposed to know you ?)we passed each other a few times & he ended up at a stop light behind me & I jumped out & handed him a join card & he was still on the phone & he looked at me as I was comming back to him like ( Jeez whats this guy gonna want )
It's reall easy to understand most folks don't know what it is ( & I kinda love that ) But there are those people who have them to whom it's just a car.. ( I cant get my head around that one but there it is & you know I am right lol )

Understood... If I got upset about every Subaru owner i saw who didn't wave...


As long as there are still a few people who wave, I'm happy. Especially SVX'ers. Keep up the love.

i usually wave at other subies if i see them gawking at the svx, it happens pretty often when i'm driving it

Funny you should say that...just after leaving the dealer today and getting onto the interstate there was a blue '04 WRX a little way ahead of me. When I pulled up alongside of him, he gave me a thumbs up! I nodded and waved back...

Unlike in your area, SVX is a rare site here in Milpitas- Fremont area. Anyhow, usually all the subarus that I see are the Outbacks with middle aged ladies who don't even care about what kind of car they are driving, or WRXs with kids of my age, who only care about their Mody Rides.

Although I have been acknowledged twice at my college, by some guys on 2.5 RSes. I waved back at them.

I think you need to recognize the driver first before waving. Since sometimes you can tell which person is interested in his car, and which one is just driving it because it is a car. Hey, I will chace down SVXes and stop them if i see one.

I'm an SVX hunter too. Every SVX that I have ever came across, I have tracked down and talked with them.

Almost lost my job because of it. Would it be the U turn in four lane traffic while working for dominos or was it because I held up traffic at the next stop sign.

Oh well, I leave little notes about the network and always give a plug, but I don't think that they care.

i personally wave at all svx drivers i see. In fact i spotted 2 within a 14 day period!!! that was a bit surprising because i never see them but they do not show any intirest or are too busy on their cell phones while wearing their suites. I know the SVX is luxury but come on, it is sport too. These cell jockies driving beautiful machinery really needs to stop.
