You're not going to believe this - there is a hose that looks like it returns from the driver's side rear of the intake manifold. It had jumped out of its "clamp", repositioned it and the noise stopped. Either the hose vibrated or repositioning it dampened the whistle.

Really........

I had a whistle, but it went away and I never heard it again.
Those hose clamps are terrible though.
