From what I remember I had a good time. From what I don't remember (Mimosas+CRS+box'o), I was told I had a good time. At my age any hand on my leg is in the plus column. Anyway, t'was good meeting some new faces, & greeting a lot of old faces (no offense, Harry). A very special thanks to Diana for putting up with a lot of men behaving badly, & thanks to Jerry (Subicrosser) for cooking - both with, & without a hangover. And, of course, Tom hisself for allowing me to assist with the rear linkage mod thingy, or whatever them funny spacers were for. Looking forward to next month's meet at your place! Ron.

And Thank's to sov13t for hauling me home sat night! I had a lot of fun with him! Sat I wore my " Welcome to America, now speak English" shirt, and Sunday, he wore his 'Colors', I have to admit that he has a much better command of the English than I do of Russian, since I know NONE! He's a great guy! I had met a few of the Guys and Gals before, but added a LOT of faces to the names.... Eric and company got a brief visit to the Planet MRAF and Huckleberry's place. They actually saw the 30 Willys with a subi front and the 47440, and and and and Yea, they ALL need work, but they really DO exist! (What part of Right at the stop sign, Left at the FIRST traffic light, Right at the 'fork' and left at the stop sign, Did you guys have trouble with??? At least you got to see some 'new' places........) Thank God for cell phones! During the Sunday dinner, I 'Toasted' Young Tom for having the fastest SVX at the auto-X. Because of 'circumstances-beyond-our-control, We each only got 3 passes. In the interest of NOT killing the cars, we both left the field without realizing our potential. Great TIME!!!! Good Company!!! Nice cars!!!! Good food and COLD beer!!! Thank's for using the 'DRUNK' pics!! Now everyone thinks I actually LOOK that goofy! For everyone that missed it... " You MISSED a GOOD one!"

You know, with a little more 'notice', MORE of the members might be able to make it. If it 'outgrows' Tom and Diana's place, we could move it to the Planet MRAF! We have 3.5 acres MOWED and a 5,000 acre playground attatched. AND it actually IS in Maryland! We can 'stage' at Tom's, etc. ( Just a thought)

I had an awsome time!! Its always a blast when i am at toms but it is also a dangerous ride home after being in the sun all day with no sleep... We made it home alright thanks to my assistant driver Janelle who kept me awake for the most part... Only thing is... when you are that tired and being kept awake.... you tend to start dreaming while still conscious about the cars in front of you spinning out sideways Either a good time was had by all and to all who didn't come.... You missed a great time and we hope to see you all at the next event

A day late and a doller short, but hey, better than nothing...
Tom and Diane, thanks for putting up with us and hosting the event at your house, it was a blast. I have a bunch of pictures, but a bad connection where i currently am, a hotel in texas. I will get them uploaded as soon as possible. To the cooks: Food was great, thanks much. You were there just in case man can not live on beer alone... or was that bread, either way, we survived. O(ld)rigional Tom and John: So much effort went forth into making my exhaust not sound like hell on saturday night and sunday afternoon. It sounds great, much appriciation. I'm surprised, between the OA Torch, hammers, wrenches, and dozens of other tools, in combination with an excessive amount of alcohol, to the point where i was having trouble standing(and that's the last thing to go for me in the event of intoxication, before i'm rendered unconcious), and tom and john were right there with me, that the only thing that went wrong was 4 backwards bolts. That's about as lucky as you get in my opinion... And John and i even manged to get the car down after tom went to bed, after a few failed attempts, so i had a place to sleep. Comfy seats really, first time sleeping in the SVX, though there's been many times before where it felt as though i was going to fall asleep in that driver seat... Though i think iwth the amount of alcohol consumed, anywhere would have been comfortable. Young(angry) Tom: Thanks much for that help sunday after the track, and i think sunday morning as well, when i woke up to the sound of voices, right as my car lifted into the air, with me in the driver seat. I don't rmeember much from that morning, but i'm pretty sure you were there, and doing something to my car. If there were other people there, thank you too for all your hard work and dedication into giving me a safe car to drive to texas, what ever it was that was done... Was an arc welder involved? i think i remember one of them, but it's hazy, so i'm not sure. Mike and Eric: Apparnetly my headlights were cleaned and de-yellowed. Thank you. I didn't realize it until around 10pm that night approaching indianopolis when i realized i could see, what a difference that makes! I heard mike talking about it, but i didn't think he was gonna actually do it, and he thinks eric finished it, so thanks much guys. Everyone else, it was great to see you again, and new folks i was able to meet, i had a great time. I think there was a conversation about everything there was to talk about, and it was great fun. The band was great too, a little loud from me, but great non-the-less. I'm going to go tot he store, pick up something to take the edge off, and get a good sleep tonight, got a long day tomorrow. Thanks again, and hope to see you all at reading 9, if not sooner!

Gee, I missed a good one. I only have to think back to Reading to feel a rush of happiness and miss the meet I just missed. I was thinking of you during the weekend and wish I could have been there. I probably feel much better because I missed it, but I would have had fun. Congratulations on a great meet.
You are missing a great meet this next weekend. The Dabob Seafood Meet and SVX Rally. We may not have quite as many members or cars, but we will make up for it in seafood and drink consumption. I will post pictures.
