Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Replaced my dipstick o-ring finally with a super fancy HNBR o-ring. I bought a kit so I have lots of o-rings. These are also the preferred o-rings for the A/C system and any other very cold or very warm applications. If anyone wants an o-ring, I can mail you one if you send me a self-addressed and stamped envelope and a buck. I have the following sizes:

7/32" X 1/16" or (5.55 X 1.58)
1/4" X 1/16" or (6.35 X 1.58)
6.8 X 1.9
5/16" X 1/16" or (7.93 X 1.58)
7.8 X 1.9
8 X 2
8.8 X 1.9
7/16" X 1/16" or (11.11 X 1.58)
7/16" X 3/32" or (11.11 X 2.38)
11 X 2
12 X 2
13.9 X 1.8
9/16" X 3/32" or (14.28 X 2.38)
14 X 2
15 X 2
17 X 2
11/16" X 1/16" or (17.46 X 1.58)
11/16" X 1/8" or (17.46 X 3.17)

Do the o-rings come with lakeside prizes, or is that only when we give you stuff?

Only when I get stuff. Have you tried it yet? I donated a bottle of that for the Reading auction too. I don't know who ended up with it in the end.

So just as soon as I finally do the power mode mod, I decided to start my tranny swap.

I started on the pedals today first and got mostly done with that. It's a hydraulic clutch so I think it's a bit harder to fit than cable. There was quite a bit of fabricating with the legacy assembly, got to put my new welder to good use. Waiting on my spare driveshaft getting lengthened so I'll just drive the automatic around with three pedals. At least the hard part is done.

That must be the least expensive way to get into the 3rd pedal club

Congrats on pulling the trigger on the swap, it'll really change the way you feel about the SVX, for the better.

Hahaha. Thanks though. I've not got the chance to try anyone else's manual so I can only imagine right now. I have all the parts I need, it's just a matter of getting time.

So do you have the same security system as the US?

Nope, it's just a keyless remote on the doors. Doesn't even open the trunk.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Bought some high beam headlights for the low beam headlight mod because one of my headlights burned out in my Claret SVX. Also took a few shots of my Laguna Blue SVX as it just turned 39 000 KM (24 233 mi). I put 6000 km on it in just over a year:

The US one doesn't open the trunk either. Just locks and unlocks the doors and arms/disarms the alarm system. Or you can turn off the alarm system and it'll just lock and unlock the doors.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Today I swore at her again...

I walk out to get some lunch and this is what I see:

It wasn't like that when I got into it yesterday, but it was dark when I parked it last night..
How does that happen? Slamming the door to hard? One too many potholes? A few too many SPL?
