Re: SCCA classing question, 5 speed maual SVX
Dan and Harry are the only SVX owners I know of who have actually "tracked" their SVXi. Hopefully, they'll chime in here.

Re: SCCA classing question, 5 speed maual SVX
Consensus of the local gurus on my car is SM. Detroit region has a street tire sub-class for SM which I'll try out this year.
Wish me luck!

Re: SCCA classing question, 5 speed maual SVX
I have never driven in an official SCCA classed event. I drove n a time trial with Connecticut Autocross and Rally Team at Lime Rock Park. They sort of follow the SCCA classing rules, and put me in F Street Prepared.

Re: SCCA classing question, 5 speed maual SVX
OK, lotsa work to do before the season starts here. I'm retaking the solo school on Saturday as the first competition is the day of my son's first birthday. Can't miss the face fulla cake photos
I've finally gotten the car on the road (plates and insurance) as it has been dormant since 2003. Work ahead of me is: -drop (old stock) and swap (Koni/GC) the suspension/hand align -rebuild/replace calipers (147k on these) -stainless brake lines -new pads -remove 15" snows and mount 17" RE-01R's -finish mounting both Recaro seats and harnesses -gut interior (SM allows-and will require here in Detroit based on National SM champion (470hp Evo) being local)-rear seats, rear interior panels and rear window motors, console, radio, speakers, carpet, padding, etc. -gut A/C system -swap out trunk to eliminate spoiler -numerous other tasks that my wife is oh so hapy to hear about As this one is ancient, fully depreciated, and worth very little these days, I'm going to tear her down as much as possible as a toy car (no daily use duties anticipated or implied). She's dented, dusty, and will be run hard. I enjoy driving the car and working the transmission myself Now, nothing we own has a slushbox. I'm looking forward to seeing how she does/I do with a car I'm familiar competing in with completely different characteristics. Should be fun. Todd
