I found a Laguna Blue build date "1993" SVX at U Pull It self service auto parts in Blue Island, Il 2247 W. 141th St. # is 1-866- 878-5548 the engine was in tack, tranny was there but the oil pan was gone. It hurts my heart to see that there, thats the first one I've seen in IL.

A blue 93?

I thought all 93s were red? Any chance it has an intact grey leather interior?

I am headed to Chi-town next weekend for a set of SVX wheels and tires anyway... a good condition grey leather driver's seat, and some other miscellaneous parts would be welcomed if I am going to be there anyway, I won't have to ship a heavy driver's seat... and I REALLY could use a better driver's seat.

Even if it is is a cloth car, I could use the grey dash pieces, to convert over from the weird 92 woodgrain.

I hope I can haul it all in my Legacy. I don't know anyone with an operational pickup that I can easily borrow, and the SVX probably doesn't hold much more, maybe a little less... and that insidious starting issue is not something I want to strand me hundreds of miles from home just now...

Is the car badly wrecked? as I said, maybe some good interior parts, and a few other bits that I could really use.

I am sorry to hear that it is a blue car. I would really, REALLY love a blue SVX... If I had the means, I would have another SVX PAINTED blue, if I had to...

Maybe i'll be really lucky, and they'll have a 1999-2000 Miata with a black interior... I need a black passenger door card and a knee-panel under the steering column... and maybe the better 2001-2005 center console...

Laguna Blue were I think 94-96, correction the build date was in "93" I'll try to go back next week to take some pics, windshield gone and interior has been exposed to elements, rear seat bottoms gone, hit on passenger side right in the mid part of vehicle.

It looks like I'll be in down-town Chi-town on Saturday...

A late calendar year 93 build date could be a 1994 model year. I thought all model-year 1993 cars were red, for Subaru's anniversary.

Unfortunate that it is wrecked, because that is just the sort of car that I would like... I love blue SVXs... Oh, well... maybe it will get me some parts for mine.

I suppose they are literal about "YOU pull it..." does one have to bring their own tools? What sort of neighborhood is this place in?

If the driver's seat is OK, I'd have to figure out how to fit it, along with 4 wheels and tires in my Legacy's trunk and back seat... unless I can get the bosch relay mod done on my SVX tomorrow...

Otherwise I don't want to be stranded with a non-starting car that far from home, which is why I am planning on using the Legacy...

If it has some pieces under the hood, covers and such... and a good grey leather driver's seat, and perhaps a good rear seat back... and maybe some dash pieces...

Hi folks -- No longer an SVX owner and I've had to reregister for the forum, but I just had to pass along this victim of the cash-for-clunkers program:

The link above will take you to the few photos I took. Didn't grab the VIN, but it has a full leather interior and is thus believed to be an LSi AWD. The interior in particular looked very complete and really clean.

Car is located at the Richmond Pick-n-Pull, in the SF Bay Area.

The drivers-side window was open and it rained pretty heavily here today. I hope the parts find a good home before this one goes off to the crusher.

Today I removed the throttle position sensor from a Red '94 L or Ls
It has 183K on it and the engine is still there. This car was stacked on top of another car, so I couldn't see if it is AWD. Cloth interior is Gray and mostly intact but pretty shabby. Windshield is still there...

I just stumbled upon a green '92 (auto, awd) with 140k at Poor Boys Wrecking in Yakima, Wa.

I went on an exploratory mission at Crazy Ray's in Jessup, MD a couple weeks ago and found a pearl one. Most of the exterior pieces are gone as well as the interior door paneling. The mother and transmission is still intact. Windshield is busted though, however all other glass pieces seem to be ok. If it only had black leather seats instead of tan I would have taken them.

For those that don't know, this yard is a "You pull it yourself." So bring your tools and some water if you go!

94 was the changeover year from auto seat belt/1 airbag to manual belts/dual airbag in the middle of the model year

The Blue that was mentioned in another thread is in row D15, there is a '94Black/Gold repaint a row or two further back that looks to be in pretty good shape. Harry's has a 50% off all glass this coming week (15th-21st) and all of the glass on the gold one is in good shape. I also found the spoiler from the gold one lying a couple of cars away completely stripped of paint. Sorry I forgot to get the VIN on the gold one.
