Nope. This sound developed around the same time my CV boot tore, for a while only made the sound while turning, and very distinctly comes from the front left side. I can't really describe the sound, so I just say it's like if you were listening to footage of a helicopter rotor in slow motion. Kind of a deep, low whipping, like a "whomp whomp whomp".

Oh, I thought you meant the persistent but low level whirring. Sounds like tire noise being nicely transmitted to the cabin to me. And I love going over patterned concrete roads. That noise gets transmitted into the cabin as well and can be deafening. This car begs for the quietest tires you can find!

Craigslist is great, I found my blue '97 there, chromed SVX wheels and today I picked up an SVX OEM bra and clear headlight protectors along with an original '92 SVX brochure. Even though I will only use the protectors and bra for highway trips and not around town, I am ecstatic . All for $100! If anyone wants me to scan the brochure let me know.

Got another one running right and back on the road. Hasn't run properly in more than 2 years and it runs, shifts and drives great!

My deadlights are basically finished as I MDK'lld the center water fall grill (instaed of picking up the 97 like grills or likeness) and corners on the spare project lights that were previously restored to clarity goodness. The DDM HID's are ready to go in and will follow suit with LED switchbacks coming in the mail shortly. I think that's it for the headlights... doubt I'll mess with the high beams. Probably end up leaving the tail lamps completely alone... especially not doing any darkening on those at all.

After 11 years of ownership with the passenger door closing with about a +4mm gap, I finally adjusted the striker today. She looks like a new car!

Make sure and replace the other hose too. Just cause you can't see it doesn't mean it's not also getting crappy.
