When I was talking to bob at Class Glass, he said he only used Yellow Freight, because they never damaged any hoods. But they are about $70.00 more. The freight Quote guys use several carriers, UPS Freight, A Duie Pile, AAA Cooper, Bullet Freight, Central Freight, Daylight, Dayton, FedEx, Jevic, Lakeville Motor Express, Mid States, New England Motor Freight, New Penn, Oak Harbor, Old Dominion, Pitt Ohio, Roadway, Saia, Southeastern Freightlines, Southwestern Freightlines, USF(a bunch of them) Watkins, ETC. PM sent.

Jerry and I were talking about a different hood yesterday. One that allowed engine heat to be vented, perhaps a more agressive design. What do you think would look good? If someone would like to photochop something we could all look at, that would be great!

Agreed with Curly. I hate the design of the engine bay... it looks so cramped and kinda frustrates me every-single-time I open the hood. I'm definetly in for one if you guys come up with a design to get some serious ventilation going.

And I would position them a little differently. There was someone else who had a dark SVX with NACA ducts tastefully placed towards the front outside edges of the hood and IT looked great, but I can't yet find it in any lockers. Darn having to actually work for a living.

This ventilated hood idea intrigues me as well.

quality hood... I love mine and I couldn't help but giggle when I lifted it up... I almost threw it across the driveway of Tom's shop because I wasn't expecting it to be that light... Either way, it is a good investment for anyone who is looking to shave some weight off the front of the car...

they won't make cf, I already tried, race quality only, which means that they don't want to take the time to make sure it is a god looking peice of fabric. ok maybe I am being too harsh, but i asked and they said no to a nice show quality hood (which by the way, it is normally show quality hoods that you see...)

i personally would not care if it was show quality or not, as long as its hella light and fits pretty well....good enough for me!

Tom, I think a short (~2" high) cowl induction scoop with vents at the forward edge of the hood (right behind the radiator) would be very cool (pun intended ). The vents would be similar to what EVO hoods have now. -Bill

Small NACA Duct - Black
http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/naca.htm SPA-D102 I think would look good, and they are only $16.00 each. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro...p?Product=3627 3627 is a little smaller.
