I bought parts from alexm2888 on ebay. Per his instructions, I sent $128.00 to Vlad Melnichuk via paypal. I received nothing and filed a complaint with paypal. Paypal has been investigating my complaint since Nov. 15.

Gee, alexm2888, svxpartspro, vlad, is there a connection? I guess he's smarter than me since he has my (and others) money and I have nothing

You may want to give the EBay folks some of the info from this and other threads here about vlad/alex/svxparts.... It will help to show that it is not just an isolated case of a lost shipment.

I'll be watching for the part. My $128 down the drain was supposed to be for:
hood struts
MAF sensor
EGR valve

Seemed like a good deal at the time.

I haven't figured out how to get all this info to ebay. When I originally filed the dispute using ebay's dispute console, they referred me to paypal. It was all automated with no apparent way out of the automatic links. I guess I could just figure out how to send an email to them.

I can't believe it. I just received an email from paypal that they have concluded the investigation into my case and have found that the Seller provided proof of shipment. Un"f"ing believable. The guy provided an invalid DHL tracking number. I told paypal that weeks ago. They never checked it and took the seller's word over mine.

Anyway, I just telephoned them and made them try tracking the shipment while I was on the line. Guess what. DHL returned that the number is invalid and they are going to "appeal" my case. What a joke.

I feel so unwanted, I'm the one who started stirring the pot with svxpartspro by sending a warning message to one of his bidders on EBay and he didn't send me a love note like he sent you guys . . .

I had also sent svxpartspro a message asking about his engine:

It would be helpful if you listed the VIN of the car that your engine came from, people like to run CarFax to help confirm the mileage. Since you haven't pulled the engine yet that won't be a problem for you.

Normally when people are selling an engine, they would show a picture of the actual engine that's for sale.

Please get your facts straight, the Subaru SVX Anniversary Edition was a 1993 model and only came in Red, your picture clearly shows Silver strut towers.

PS: I almost sent alexm2888 $65 for an antenna in an out of EBay purchase. I had asked him to send an invoice to my PayPal account, which he never did. I'm REALLY glad he didn't!

Three cheers to paypal. After siding with the seller that he had provided proof of shipment, they corrected their error and credited my account with $128.00. I had to call them personnally do get them to do it. But, hey, all's well that end's well.

I hope they nail that alexm2888/svxpartspro/vlad.

No matter what you do DO NOT BUY anything on eBay from user name- 1vs1vs1
He ripped me off. He never sent the item and when I finally got him to answer me, he said he would send me a check. A week later he said he sent me a money order. A week later he said he sent the refund via Western Union. Now he won't respond at all. He is a real SCAM Artist and a Fraud. He is located in Vineland, NJ

If we use Paypal we insert a filter to stop the frauds quickly The dorks that want to rip us off have to use the proven methods of payment that have recourse for the buyer. Don't buy from anyone that does not accept Paypal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is easy right

He keeps changing eBay user names and is now registered under his sister's name..Alina Melnichuk. Just don't buy any SVX parts from any user name in Vinelad, NJ. Beware of 1vs1vs1. Paypal i still investigating my complaint.

People here know where he lives. People here have actually been to his house. What would be the "right" thing to do?

I live about 30-40 miles from him. I would like to file a fraud report with the Vineland, NJ District Attorney's Office and possibly have him arrested on internet fraud charges. If anyone who has been ripped off by this person would PM me with the details, I could take all of the eivdence down to the DA's office and pursue this matter. This guy deserves some serious legal trouble.

I'm sure most people who follow ebay SVX listing will know this already but Biostar10 is back with several listings for high demand SVX parts. He/she does have pics of each item this time but they all look kind of suspect, I mean it's easy to grab pics of these popular items from the web. I swear I've seen a couple of the pics before, either in other listings or here on the network. Anyway, just a heads up.
