I should have but didn't.
So before I installed the g.c. and koni's I forgot to measure ride height and ground clearance. With the new wheels I have 1" higher ride height (2" greater dia.) but am wondering what amount of clearance I had on the stock car. I know I am lower than before due to a little scrape on a drive dip on the gas station by my house. (just a little scrape in the front) I am totally amazed at how sooth the car rides with so little suspension travel though, but don't want anymore dents in my exhaust. If someone could take the time or just knows that info I would really appreciate it.
thanks,. shaun

off the top of my head... 14.5" from the center of the wheel to the top arch of the front fender... 13" on the rears... Those coilovers are sweet huh?

Thanks for the info. I just had it aligned today and I can't give credit to my good vision, but aside from a toe issue the suspension was almost where it should have been. Crazy good luck finally. I need to drive it more, but the rear feels underdampened. I set it full soft (2.5 turns) and then turned it 1.5 turns to set it towards the stiff side. Of corse the fronts, which take a second to adjust, feel good with the same setting. Aside from basic driving feel I am using the amount of travel observed when rolling off a speed bump at about 3 mph. The front has a little bit of movement. I would say about .5". The rears on the otherhand have close to double that travel. I'll put 50 more miles on it to get a better feel for it before making any changes though.

For customers with daily drivers, I set the rears at 1 or 3/4 turns off full firm depending on spring rates... Mine are on full firm all the time as I need my rear end planted

How can I get in on some Koni/GC action? I sent Mychailo a pm but either his box is dirty again or he doesn't know.

I'd like to get some rears at least very soon due to the one worn OEM strut making my tire rub, maybe worry about fronts later on.
I wasn't really planning to do suspension this season..

Consider them only in that context, and not as a means of stiffening the suspension front/rear. Otherwise you will not keep four feet on the ground, very much to the detriment of the desired handling package.

I set the rears to .5 off stiff and like it much better. The ride is more controlled and still feels really smooth, almost like stock. I was finding the fronts to be a little soft on compression (exhaust scrape on hard dips) so I have tweaked them a little too. What's funny is that I can feel sidewall flex on 40 series tires. That's what I get for trying no-name rubber, even if they had good reviews on the web.

Try increased tyre pressures, certainly well above what is generally specified. The SVX is a heavy beast.

Heavy beast they are. Not like my 240z weighing in at ~2100 lbs (it's gutted though). I'll try bumping the pressure up to 35 (+3psi) and see if it is better. I know I have to run higher pressures in my trucks tires after switching to crappy Yoko's from good BFG's, but they still flex like a fat girl.
Wait, how about filling the tires with water, as it doesn't compress like air. That should work great! (j/k)

Dustin,
I'm moving in 2 days (suck!) to north central austin. I got a pm a few of weeks ago from a girl in SA and saw your mini meet pics. I would like to hook up once I get my a/c going. Was someone coming down to put 4.44's in your ride?
