SVX on dyno

Finally was able to get my svx on a dyno to see what stock numbers came up.
it was coming up 122awhp constantly.

Sounds about right as there are huge losses in any AWD/4 wheel drive system.
My GMC truck was well over 300 engine horsepower and only had 210 HP at the rear wheels.

That does not sound right... 47% drivetrain loss? I have never seen that much loss on an SVX. When I benchmarked my SVX's (with the 4EAT) I was right around 150awhp.

When I dynoed my stock svx way back when with 170k miles it did 180whp 185wtq. Dynojet dyno btw.

Mustang dyno for me... Which makes sense as my numbers give me about a 35% drivetrain loss and Bishop using a Dynojet experienced a 22% drivetrain loss. The average difference between Dynojet and Mustang dynos is in the range of 12% with Mustangs reading lower.

i was 122awhp at 3800rpm

the svx is 230 crank at 5600 rpm

Definitely sounds like a heartbreaker dyno for sure.

Dsport magazine did an issue a while back comparing different dynos with two cars to compare what the differences actually were.
