Fuel injector clicking...?
I've noticed that the fuel injectors are "very" loud (in comparison to all the other cars I've ever had) and I'm wondering if this is common or not? My dad thought it might be sticking lifters but the sound is not coming from the heads, only the injectors. This I determined by using the stethoscope method with a screw driver.
I don't remember them being loud when I bought it but then I didn't spend much time under the hood of the car then either. So in all, are noisy injectors normal to the car and I'm just paranoid? Thanks |

I would probably say that's normal. If you wanted you could run a bottle of injector cleaner in your next tank of gas but that probably won't make a difference.
The injectors are more likely noisier than other cars because on other cars the injectors are usually hidden under a cover.

A cheap "fix" is to use Marvel Mystery Oil ( found in the additive section of parts stores). I use 6-7 oz per fill up and it works beautifully! I buy the gallon jug for $10.49 which works out to less than $0.60 per treatment, which is less than any other fuel additive and it works 10x better
