A/c
I was driving the other day, and my A/C just stopped. I put it on "Vent" to try to get some air...and that didn't work either. Later that night, or the next night, my power steering went. I fixed that, but not the A/C. I really hope they are seperate occurances or it's just a fuse, but if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

So does the fan work at all? I mean, does it at least blow some kind of air, or do you get nothing out of the vents at all?
Does the control unit seem to work?

"My car has a problem, how do I fix it?"
Details. We need details. How did you fix the power steering? Did you play with the fan speed buttons? Did you turn up or down the climate control? Did the climate control stay lit up? Did it allow you to adjust it? Were you doing anything when it stopped working? What exactly was it set to when it stopped? Does the outside temperature button work? Do any of the buttons on the control panel do anything? Was the climate control set lower than atmospheric temperature so that the A/C compressor was actually running? Did you check any of the fuses? Did you bang on the dash? What else did you try doing to fix it? |

Hi, SORRY, shortly after posting my son went off to a concert in Pittsburg. I can answer some of the questions to give you more information. The power steering line developed a leak way underneath, husband spliced a piece of hose on for now. I tried differant settings Heat, A/C (no fans seem to be working) No air is blown out at all hot or cold. It seems to make a slight ticking noise some where near the glove box. I did check the fuses under the hood all were fine. The others that were marked fan are resisters not sure how you check those??? The climate control button is still lit and shows outside temp when pushed. Is there any fuses inside that work the fans? I didn't notice any. If any other info would help just let me no. THANKS Diane
