Reno has redlight too:

Wendover = speed week.

So who feels like organizing this meet? I know Michelle already put in her dues with the Reno meet (thanks Mich ), I wouldn't mind helping out with this one.

You shoulda posted the info about Denver being the drunkest city earlier, might've gotten more votes then!

I think it is very very helpful to have at least one person that is heavily involved in the organizing of any meet located close enough to the location to visit there several times.

It's just very good to check out and talk to the hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc, in person, get the lay of the land, map out driving tours, etc.

Perhaps who is willing to help may determine where the meet ends up being held.

Yeah, it was nice to have Matt map out the Tahoe drive for us at Reno.

I agree, planning is easier if you have people who live nearby involved, or if the planners have been to the spot a few times.

(Troy should know, he works hard planning the NW meets)

I didn't see your suggestions.... did you just hop on board to whine? or do you want to help organize something in your area for the Western Regional.

29 votes... and not one suggestion for alternatives... I guess that a Western Regional was an idea that had no steam. I'm thinking that I will go along with and help the NW people. I love the NW area, I know the places up there and I had a great time at the see food meet {sic}.... and they seem to have enough people that want to do something in positive ways. IF we could get 50 or so people interested (svxin or no svxin) I would be happy to orgainze it where ever the vote would take us (except maybe in Napa's backyard )

Not at all... Did you read Napa's post? I'm not for shutting it down.... I just wish we could get a little more interest in the thing... I'm not flaming...I'm just putting my money where the action is...

I would love to attend some of the Colorado functions...
I would love to organize some things here in Utah... (anybody here?)
Visit the NW site! They have it going on! (I'm trying to plan to go up to their fall colors tour. Wanna come?)

The NW group is awesome... I'm very happy that they have the group to do the organizing. However..... it's way beyond my ability to get there.

I try to encourage intermountain meets. No one seems to be interested....

Guess I ought to just give up.

I wouldn't have given up... on Utah... but Dustin is the only one that ever contacts me.... (when he's driving something other than his SVX)

I wasn't complaining, I was just bored at the time and trying to make some usless comment on each location. I could make an excuse to head for the NW...for fall collors, I'll bring all my cammeras, 8 I believe
