Removal of Lower Door Glass
Hey kids-
My black svx is at the transmission shop, and some dummy broke the lower door glass on the drivers side and stole my gauge pod and stereo. I need to remove the door glass from my parts car so that I can replace it, but I have no idea how. Could someone help me out? Thanks! mike |

- Pull off the inside door trim.
- Roll down the window about 3/4 of the way I think. I'm a bit fuzzy on the actual amount it needs to be rolled down. It needs to be rolled down as much as possible, but still high enough so that the bolts holding the window to the window mount can be accessed. - Remove the little pads along the window sill that hold the window against the window sill. - Remove the three bolts holding the window to the window mount. - Lift glass out of top of the door. I seem to recall that the nose of the window needs to be rotated upward and the window comes out on the outside of the door frame. There is a guide at the nose of the window that makes the whole process a bit tricky. Hope that makes sense.

How do i roll down the window with no window switches, or wiring? Mike |

Is it the parts car? If so, disconnect or cut the wire that moves the window?

Or you can pull the motor out of the regulator (2 tiny phillips screws) then manually slide the window. If you plan on reusing that motor/regulator watch out for the tiny brushes and a ball bearing that likes to fall out of place.
