Also, I really hope that new GT4 would have SVX in it, but so far, I haven't seen it yet. not even on the car list... we'll see it in couple of weeks.

Nathan, it looks great! How is it playing a game where you can't understand the words? The graphics look superb. They should ship a US playable English version.

The game's very playable since I'd say about 80% is in English. There's a message board (BBS) and mail box that's entirely in Japanese, but that's not really important. Sometimes there are certain requirements in order to race (which are in Japanese), so it's just trial and error there.

As far as an American release goes, with growing interest in drifting, who knows, it could have been big.

SubaRyu, you should defiantly get this. Even without the SVX, it's an amazing game. While it is very realistic, it provides a very different experience than Gran Turismo.

Here's some screen shots: (they're also in my locker)

Bone stock SVX in the rain.

Cockpit Tatebayashi S15 at night (yeah, there's a bunch of fully licensed drift cars).

It's just like all the follow up WRC games, only the first one came to the US, all the sequels were Europe and Japan only. We need more of these games imported. It looks better then the TXR series. Is it drift only? And what do you have to do to your PS2 to play it?

It is better than the TXR series (IMO). There's a lot more variety in this one. While it is tailored to drifting (i.e. incredible winding mountain roads), you can set up your cars for grip or drift, whichever you prefer. There are CA battles though, where you have to get a certain amount of points by drifting, so you don't really have a choice there.

To play it you'll need one of these:
- JP ver. ps2
- modchip
- flip top lid (what I got)
- slide card
(just these)

Speaking of the WRC games, I've been planning on getting WRCIII, but now that IV is out, I've been checking eBay for that.

Is it long way to get a SVX in the game?? Can I at least see the SVX from the begining at some car select menu?

There's a record challenge mode or something where you can try it out from the start. I wasn't able to buy it until after day 20 something (in game, not after 20 physical days of playing).

In stock form, it really has a lot of understeer. Also it only has 4 gears. I'm hoping that at some point I can upgrade it to 5. Modified, though, it's a pretty good gripper!

The beginning may start off kind of slow because you'll be stuck with an underpowered and/or FWD car. But it won't be long before it gets really good. Anyways, enjoy!

I finally got the game today!!

It's very fun, reminded me of GT1. where they mainly focused on Japanese domestic cars.
Anyway, the SVX in the game look great. So far, that's the best SVX in video game world. And there are so many other cars I like in the game too!

Only thing I don't like is, the color. My real SVX is '92 pearl white/black roof. The one in the game is all white. Wonder if I can change the roof color later on, like customizing.

Anyway, I'm so happy that I can drive hard, drfit, hit to the wall hard & so on with SVX...in the video game. I always drive safe on the road, by the way.

OK, I will get back to SVX in the game now.
