Not just O-rings, but the hoses as well. I had to replace the condensor-to-compressor hose when I bought my car because it was literally weeping through the rubber, as if filled with tiny pinholes. The dealership included a new hose in the deal. Switched to R134 at the same time and have had no AC issues in >30,000 miles.

I believe there's a total of 13 o-rings in the entire system.

Expect to take a weekend to replace all of them.

There are ones under the dash and there's some disassembly involved. If everything goes smooth it can be done in a day. If nuts/bolts won't come out it will take longer. I had issues with a few nuts.

Don't break anything!

Thanks david! I will probably have Tom do it for me whenever he has time of course. I will take the lines visable in the engine bay apart so i can get the two o-rings...and ill take pics. Probably in a week or so when i go and get back from florida

I think you can get to 8 or 9 o-rings without going under the dash. We needed to use heat to get a hose off the condenser as well for one of the items in the evaporator.

I have never had to replace any other than the two that attach to the compressor. I did have the metal line that is on the passenger side that is in the front of the evaporator go bad. I just replaced the line and everything was good again.

The reason I changed all of mine was because I was going from R12 to R134a. I believe the compressor o-rings were the only leaky ones though. I also think that it's these o-rings that mysteriously leak sometimes when a transmission is swapped. Pressure on the hoses is enough to make them leak and I've witnessed it first hand.
