Boy, have the times changed...
I just read where the newToyota Camry turns 0-60 times of 6.0 seconds and 1/4 mile of 14.5 sec. The family grocery getter got quick. Not bad.

My old Camry never had that kind of power! But, it probably got better mpg than the new fast one.

well. the trends that seems to be going on now is either high horse powered cars- regardless of what model it is.
or the super fuel economic car that has just over 100 horsies under the hood but the same with the cars being made of nothing but plastic

I'd rather have a slow rwd/awd car than a 260hp fwd anything

I saw a newsflash last week touting that C.A.F.E. numbers were slipping backwards. Duh! How many Godzilla-crunching SUVs does it take to do that?
On the other hand... I bought a Lincoln Continental to replace my SVX. From what I've read it hits the 1/4 @ 15.7, the seats are more comfy, I'm averaging 3.5mpg more and I can sit up straight inside. Anybody that wants to call me an old fart will have to deal with the smell....
