if you are going to judge the whole ebay crowd from one
guy, thats not entirely fair... I still buy and I sell a ton on ebay... just when in doubt, click on the Ask Question link and ask lots of questions and request larger pics if you have any doubt.. either way, you are going to do what you want to do

Let us complain!
Quote:
I can live with what I do and I can take my lumps. This is certainly not about a bent wheel but about a way of life for that creep. If a person analyzes all this complaining they should understand that fact. I just wanted to warn others so they would not get skinned like so many other people have. We love our cars! Whether you realize it or not we drive the safest car that has ever been built. I feel a camaraderie with people on the form and need and greatly appreciate their help. When I have a question about one of my 2 SVX’s I have a great place to come for help! No use to get bent out of shape because you don’t want to join in the complaining. Just go read something else! Lots of stuff on this site! Enjoy! Keith |

Wish I would have checked here first ...
I got ripped off by this guy as well. After waiting 1 month for my part, I searched for dans_carparts and Dan Knot on the forum. Turns out he has been scamming people for quite some time. I checked the item I purchased and went to dans_carparts feedback page and noticed that he already sold the part to someone else about a week before I bought it. I am a new to having an svx and have not driven it yet because of a rear broken knuckle.
I saw someone's post about sticking with new OEM parts from some the suppliers listed in the docs page. I think I will be doing that going forward as well. |

Man before you go to ebay... you shouldv'e visited us...
Through all these experiences, I learned that the best way is to log into the related forum and ask about it before having refuge in ebay. For example, if I needed a certain mod for my subaru or nissan, I would go to its related network first and search "what is the best in the market" for that car... Same thing applies for parts... you should've checked the "parts for sale" section or search/ask around what is your ultimate alternative before going to ebay. Even though I live outside the US, and all my purchases are from there... I was never subjected to a scam... 4 years to date...

Be careful. The last time someone suggested a course of action along these lines, the administration stepped in. I don't think any action was taken against the members involved but I recommend that you do not go about suggesting these things. It's not in the spirit of the community to do so (not to mention we don't want the network getting involved when someone calls the cops).

The transmission that I had gotten from EDKNOT is being sold at a junk auction. So anyone in the area going to the auction at the Howard County Fairgrounds on Saturday...beware..one of the two SVX transmissions came from him. The other one has a bum front diff. If it doesn't sell...then I may use it for my next art project.
