TurtleWax Polishing Compound
I tried it out with a buffer and it made my paint look like it was just sanded. It wouldn't come off with the buffer polisher cover. I had to scrub it off of the hood before i could use my Mother's Caranuba Wax(which works incredibly well). To sum it up, the Turtlewax didn't work for me. I would not recommend it for anybody.

...I think I know what you're talking about...Its a thick cream crap in a can right? I use that on headlights to get the yellow crap off. Definenty heavier duty stuff than what you used it for.the name is decieving.

I don't know if you tried it using a rag first so you can test it first, but I would suggest doing that first before using the buffer.

It can in a white plastic cup like the shape of normal paste wax. Yeah trying it in an "inconspicous spot" like the directions say on everything would be a good idea too

Yep, thats the stuff. Even ask Alcyone Daze or JaySVX, I use that stuff on very rough yellow lights. for buffing the clearcoat out, your best bet is to go online and order up some 3m liquid rubbing compound and 3m polishing glaze, as well as a wool pad and a foam pad for the buffer. Wool and rubbing compound to cut, foam and glaze to polish. They even make an EXCELLENT swirl mark remover me and the painter dubbed 'the Area 51 ****" because of it's eerie blue color and super human ...not leaving swirl marks in not quite dry paint... abilities

Hmmm, I never thought of using it on yellowed headlights...I gotta try that one. Here's a couple pics of the finished job.

Came out looking nice in the end! Kind of a weird colour shift on that last picture though. Good ole interweb colours I guess.
Can't wait to get my car de-rusted so it looks that nice...

Wal-mart sells a nice kit for refinishing your head lights. It comes with everything you need also! Its in a silver package and its called "CV Headlight Restorer/Defogger" $20 for one but its worth it. I bought one for each of mine ($60 total, thats how good it works).
Before: During: After: (Note, the good pictures will be taken on the pearly because its headlights have probably never been cleaned) Dustin

Haha. You guys and your fancy compounds. I just use some good 'ole nail polish remover (Acetone) and some elbow grease on my headlights! They look like new.
