Cracked windshield...

Well, I've had a chip in the windshiled for some time now, and scraping ice off the other day I finally spread a crack across the bottom.

Called my local body guy (a friend of mine) and he said he didn't have a source for the windhsield.

I'm calling the dealer today, and almost expect them to have lots of "0's" in their price, or not be able to get it at all.

I'd really rather not jack around with a used one - if I could even find one.

Anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Thanks!

Go to the wanted/for sale section. I think there was a windshield up for sale in there... dunno if he is close to you.

I think it was Garnet (too lazy to check it out myself now )

Yes here's a suggestion....call your insurance company and get zero deductible on glass for the car....but don't mention the crack......live with it for awhile, then call when the weather is better.

I've got the same issue btw.

My work goes through Elite Auto Glass for all of our windshields, and they quoted me $220 installed. I didn't think that was too bad.
