Hub Centric Ring Question
I'm going to be mounting a set of RX8 wheels on my SVX. I got the proper measurements, and purchased a set of hub rings to adapt them to fit the SVX properly. Here is my question:
The hub rings stick up over the surface of the wheel which would be sitting flush with the brake. (They have a tapered end.) It's probably about 1/32nd of an inch. Am I missing something here, or should I be grinding this additional space off of the hub rings?

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question
No need to grind them. Just slide them on so the bigger side is facing the rotor. It works for me.

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question
The hub centric rings I purchased fit flush with the wheels I bought. I have some others for another set of wheels for our Baja and they fit flush as well. I don't think there should be anything above the mounting surface of the wheel. I'll try and take some pics.

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question
thanks bwb3 i thought the id was 56.1 or 56.15 but wasnt sure and the od would depend on the rim of choice though wouldn't it ?

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question
Yes, the outer diameter depends on the rim you choose, as there are many different wheel center bores.

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question
well i found the bore of my rims to be 60 mm and eBay doesn't sell them that size and i don't want crappy plastic or aluminum ones that id have to get shipped from America or china or damn it y cant there be rim shops nearby that have them without having to do the same and order them from god knows where . So my dad is going to make some for me out of perfect size aluminum tube he has laying around
