5spd swap brake related question.

i couldnt find toms write up for the 5spd swap. so my question is, im ordering up some stuff for the swap tomorrow before work, but im not absolutely sure if i need to order a brake booster/master cyl along with my pedal assembly and clutch slave/master. if so, does it have to match the pedal set im ordering?

You can modify the rod that engages the brake master cylinder to still use the SVX booster...

awesome, thanks so much. is it a lot of work, or just a tweak here, grind here type thing? saves me some money then

I can't remember if the rod needs to be shortened of lengthened

but it is just a cut and weld back together at the right length. (or possiably the rod from the car the pedal box came from could be the right length...I haven't done one with a hydro clutch, so maybe someone that has will chime in...

I used a different booster (wrx iirc), but I am fairly certain that the rod on the stock booster needs shortened. Cut or grind it down and cut some new threads and you should be good to go.
