OBD1 ?? Check engine light on
i went to merlin mufflers and they plugged in OBD1 tester for free... they said no info appeared on the tester.. then i went to my local mechanic who said it was a different tester needed to be used, he said 40$.. i didnt check it out yet because i dont have 40$ now.. the CHECK ENGINE light has been on for a month now, the car runs the same, i think it is the oxy sensor, should i just change both sensors just in case and not do the test anymore?

You do not need a tester to check codes for OBD1 SVXes. See the attached document, or the how-to section of the forum.
