which is the TCU?

these picture is for the TCU and ECU from a 96 SVX. Would you please tell me which one is the TCU? right or left?. One more thing, can I connect it on a 94 SVX? Same for the ECU. Thanks a lot.

Im fairly sure its the larger one, the left. The 96 ecu is obd2 it will not work with the earlier year cars, but I think, though not sure, the tcu will work though.

Do you think the connector is the same? Will I gain something if I connect the newer TCU? may be I can avoid changing the chip on the older one, I thing the new one already comes with the corrections that ECOTUNE did on the program of the older chip right?

I am fairly sure that the plug connections from 92-97 tcu is the same, but the rest, no idea

The newer TCU is no better than the old one, if it fits. Keep the old one. Don't waste your time under the dash in the cold.

my 96 TCU connector is different than my 94 also. I just confirmed that.

The 92 TCU can be socketed. You can run a new ROM from ECUtune or Phil Skuse(Not sure of the name of his company) . Phil can burn any custom program you would like!
