Headlight Alignment

After doing some research in here I didn't see a lot of talk about how-too on aligning the front headlights. My right light seems to be a bit higher than the left. Now with the new clear light covers, what is the easiest way to do this? Lights on, off? Against a white wall or screen?? Any help would be appreciated!! Are the guide gauges accurate on the headlight assembly? Both guages on each side seemed to be adjusted the same. Anyone?

To start with, I would check the two lights against a door with horizontal lines, like a garage door. Compare them for height, and if they do not match, adjust them so they do. I have usually parked on a road without traffic and walked down the road with my lights still on and looked at the car as if it were traveling towards me. If they seem heigh to me, I move them down. You can usually tell left to right when you are driving, or the test where you look at them. Good luck. Maybe someone else will have a much more impressive way of doing it.
