Greetings All

I would first like to thank everyone who has provided me with plenty of useful information prior to my purchase. I did not want to join up and perhaps have to bid against one of you for my new ride.

Sound in body and soul, the car runs like a champ, was a one owner (two drivers, will explain in a second) prior to my purchase.

First owner was a woman who, in 10 years of driving only put on 90k miles. Well maintained without any re-builds done. The tranny fluid is just a slightly discolored pink but smells sweet, I think its just been quite some time since its been changed. She could not remember or find her older records. But as a doctors wife the general maintance was done like clockwork.

Only two glaring troubles are scratches on the windshield from the wiper blades. She let them wear a bit too long, and well, after almost 10 years she still did not know about the winter/summer switch so they been in winter mode for as long as she could remember, hehe.

The other is a bent antenna that wont go all the way down. Both should not be much trouble tho. From what I understand reading the past discussions here, a 35 dollar antenna replacement, and ?$ to buff out the scratches accross the windshield should do the trick. Ohh the clearcoat on the front bumper is pealing in a couple of spots too. All in all nothing major to me.

Now to explain the extra driver part from above; Seems the car was used as an evaluation by someone named Bill Maloney from Motorsports TV (his motor press guild ID came with the car ). First owner bought the car with 13k miles in 1994.

It appears to be #6 off the line in 93, built in january of 1993, first titled in Aug. of 94.

It even has the OEM cupholder, never used tho.

I plan on keeping it entirely stock, with the probable exception of an external tranny fluid cooler and filter. Seems like a simple and desired modification all things considered.

Well so much for my into to you all, I look forward to attending a meet at some point.

Again, thanks for all the info posted here. Made the decision to buy it quite easy.

John

Welcome.

If I can replace the antenna mast (and it still works!), believe me, anybody can.

Good to have another aboard whose plans for the car don't involve a hacksaw.

Hey, I just used the hack saw to cut off my intake resonator piping near the top.

A 'tastefully' modified SVX is just a good in my view...
