Gauge Pod

Is there a single gauge pod that fits our pillars without having to drill holes or otherwise hack uo the interior? I want to install a tranny temp gauge, but haven't found a pod that really fits the pillar.

the model Dayle sells (which I think is either for a specific run of Eclipse or else some Chevy - I forget & don't have the box anymore) works pretty well. The upper end has a rounded shape, while the lower is flattened somewhat - just like our pillars.

Do you already have the gauge?

If not the Dakota Digital rectangular gauge fits almost perfectly in the change holder hole in the dash.

edit...that is...if you didn't have OBD-II.

I like that. It's pretty cheap, too.
Do you have a pic of that in the dash?

I was going to install my dakota gauge in the coin slot, but the steering wheel gets in the way from viewing it. I put it in the ashtray instead.

I do have an actual picture (green w/black surround) but it will take a bit while I try to find it.

Thanks, that would be great

I'd go with the green and black also.

Thumbs up SWEEEEEET

I'm ordering one from Dakota Digital now. This is a really cool place to put the gauge.

That Dakota would look really great with a dash that matched (One of these days that fake wood is gonna go). I have Dayle's pillar pod installed w/o holes or screws.

The dash is still apart for my 5 speed swap. With any luck I'll have it back together in the next 2 years

The process isn't bad, the guages physically fit well in the svx cluster. I used mechanical guages so it was simply a matter of drilling holes in the firewall to allow for the lines.
