Autotrader svx prices
I just browsed the autotrader website as i normally due and i was shocked at the prices for some of the svx's.
11k for the yellow with 140k miles!!! 7.5k for an svx with 160k, and there were a whole bunch more. I guess it kinda makes me feel better that i paid 6,800 for my 92 four years ago, (wow i've had my svx that long already!) |

In Japan, there's a SVX specialty store. There, you can find bunch of used SVX mint condition... for $7,000~37,000.
Japanese used cars are usually super low mileage compare to ones in US. http://www.k-staff.net/ Many SVX lovers in Japan go there to get SVX from really far away.. I wish there's the same store in LA! I got my '92 pearlie 3 years ago for $5,000. They had just rebuit the tranny before I stepped into the dealership! -Ryu

Just remember that the ones listed there have not sold. You can ask anything you want, but may not get it.

How does that whole process work (bringing an svx from japan to the US)? Does the car have to go through some sort of special inspection?
Are insurance rates the same? I am really interested to understand how this works...please excuse my ignorance on this. However what i do know is that to send a car overseas it has to be running, so i guess that gives us some minimial insurance that the car's tranny has some life... |

Wrong Side
Remember the Japanese drive on the wrong side of the road.

well yes that and the driver's side is on the opposite side of ours. But other than getting used to that what else is the downfall? I know i've seen right hand drive cars here, probaby should have asked them how it works...
