Nice! Here's a pic from my weekend. On Saturday we flew down to Long Island. The pic was taken from 3,000 feet above the southern coast, heading east. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Our 1st of July fireworks were rather interesting. The ones I always watch are in the town I grew up in (~2000 people). What's funny is that the fireworks are better there than any others in the province and they keep getting better and better every year!

What was new this year was the fireworks that they purposely fired onto the water surface. They burned red for about 30 seconds then turned into strobe lights for another 15 seconds or so. Wish I had a pic of them.

Happy Independence day....er belated..

Kuoh, those pics are very good. Are those taken by digital camera? What kind of settings did you use?

I probably need to see how are my fireworks pics from yesternite...

By the way, this year is special to our town. President Bush came to
visit our town in that morning and gave a 20mins speech......

Thanks. Those were taken using a couple of Olympus C750s on tripods with one on its side to capture the lake reflections. I didn't use a single setting, but experiemented using the range of settings below. Most turned out ok, but a few were slightly over exposed due to the number of fireworks going off in the shot.

White balance = daylight
Aperture = 5.6 - 7.0
Shutter speed = 4 - 6 seconds

Kuo,
Good to see you around. Perhaps you've been around more since I've been around less.

Happy . . . . 9th of July!
