London!?!
So is anyone following the events in London?
All I know about what's going on is from CNN. Can we get a point of view from someone overseas?

We live just outside of London. But we don't know any more than has been reported on the news - much of which is hype and speculation anyway.
There were lots of ambulances going past throughout the day yesterday. The cynical side of me believes that there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. Particularly since the liar Tony Blair was making speeches about Muslim Extremists before the police had even started collecting evidence. I just feel very sorry for the innocent people that get killed or injured in the name of some political cause that they probably couldn't care less about. |

I thought it interesting that oil prices fell upon word of yesterday's attacks, owing to speculation that worldwide demand would drop. Of course, the price rebounded throughout the day, as it became apparent that the whole of London wasn't a smoldering ruin.
This serves as a brilliant demonstration of what forces are truly behind the price we pay at the pump. dcb |

Mr. Blair may have spoken before it was really necessary, but somebody may very well have claimed this act immediately. I'm very sorry this happened to you. I feel a little more of a connection to this act, since I've actually been to London. I've never been to NYC.

Having been to both London and New York I can vouch for the turmoil attested in London. EVERYONE in London travels via the Tube, or underground train stations. People rely on public transportation there, and over 500,000 people a day ride those trains. I'm sure the city itself was in complete havoc. Likewise, your life can be over in the matter of seconds, willed to a new world through one raw deal or decision. Life is precious.

London
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of London.
Jean and I worked in London and lived in Uxbridge for 4 years, and that was during one of the IRA bombing campaigns. I know everyone kept an eye out for any unattended package or bag on the tube or at a store or place to eat. I think London's experiences with terror....from the Blitz to the IRA....have steeled them for situations such as this. The authorities are very good with investigations and since they found two bombs that thankfully did not go off, they will have the clues needed to find the bombers. The Spanish did and I know the Brits can do the same. Don
