PM problems

is anyone else having problems sending private messages? i've been having problems for the past couples days with it freezing up my aol when i go to send a pm.WTF!

I did a week or two ago on a different computer. Haven't tried to send from it lately. It's an XP box on cable.

i never have a problem with my aol and i have t1 cable.

Mu parents are lucky to even connect with thier AOL. Me SBC Yahoo DSL no complaints.

Yeah, I've been having problems and I'm on MSN. My computer is all F'd up anyway but i,ve never had a problem with P.M.s untill now.

I am not aware of any changes that would have caused that. I will check to see if there was anything done.

Trying to reply to 'slipping trany' in Chris SVX shop. wrote the responce, press 'submit post', freeze up, had to turn off to recover. Tried 3 times on the laptop. Tried the main pc got the same results. Ender up sending a PM OK.

Harvey - it sounds like you had problems posting, and could PM. Is that the case. I am going to try to find out if something has changed.

now it's not working at all.

i've been trying for 2 days now and it won't let me private message. it just freezes up my aol and my computer goes to 100% performance. worked fine before no problems till last week and it's been happening more frequently till now it don't work at all. find anything out yet earl?

I had a problem a little while ago with posting a forum msg. Same symptoms as yours - freezing and going 100% until I forcibly ended the task. (XP Pro Multi-lingual here using IE6 on a DSL) I started previewing paragraph by paragraph and found that I could post by shortening, or rather breaking the post into two. Can you pm at all? Try something short, and if it previews ok then add a bit, try preview again... until it freezes. That's what I did. I don't seem to be having any more problems, and have since posted something even longer (Epiphany...)

Oh... I also first wrote my msg locally on my PC and saved it, so I could just paste it in and not lose everything if/when everything froze.

i'm on a dell running xp and using roadrunner t1 cable. it won't let me pm at all. zip zilch nada.

Hi Earl, yes I have just tried to reply again to Rorys last post (9-40AM Monday), in Chris SVX Shop. Got the same results as Fridays. 'The Submit Reply' button presses in, stays in, and sits there, no action. Had to turn off again. Have a go at replying yourself, see what happens.
