What engines could be successfully swapped into a SVX.

The flat six is the soul of the SVX. Sure, you could stuff a WRX or Sti engine in there, but you lose the boxer 6 sound. Without it (the flat 6), you've just got a very heavy (albeit sexy) Impreza.
