2002 Wrx Fpr
Hey everyone,
upon reading about the increase in fuel pressure talk from Chike's SVX, I searched eBay and found a 2002 WRX FPR and won it for 10.00 I forgot to make sure that it would fit before I bought it however. Anyone that has experience with switching out the FPRs, would you mind helping me out a little? I am not sure how to do it correctly, and was wondering if someone might be able to help me find a diagram or anything that might help. thanks, cB

The FPR should be arriving soon. I looked for a write up and tried searching subaruparts.com , but didn't find anything. Does anyone know the part # of the stock FPR?

The SVX fpr PN is 22670AA050, but what really matters is whether the 2002 WRX fpr is the same as the Impreza RS fpr. The 2002 WRX fpr PN is 22670AA251. The Impreza RS fpr PN is 22670AA240. So, they are not exactly the same. Can't say whether or not the WRX fpr will fit or have a 43 psi baseline fuel pressure. You'd be better off getting an Impreza RS fpr. You'll know that it is a direct fit and that it has the correct baseline fuel pressure.
On the SVX, the fpr is located at the back of the passenger side fuel injector rail. Its very difficult to actually see. It helps if you remove the air intake pipe.

Agreed Mychailo. My sig and all my posts have clearly stated that I used an Impreza fpr.
My guess is that the WRX fpr has a lower pressure rating as its stock fuel injectors flow much more fuel than the Impreza RS's. -Chike

i found this on NASIOC. According to this thread, the WRX FPR puts out 43.5 PSI http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=303644 would 43.5 PSI still be compatible?

43.5 psi is perfectly acceptable.
