ABS light came on today, code 10

Searching helpe me find out how to get the code, but beyond that I have no idea whta's going on.
Here is the desription of a code 10:

Faulty valve relay or broken or shorted harness circuit
Faulty valve relay or broken or shorted harness, or interrupted ABS (causing brakes to function as a conventional brake system)
Unidentified fault that is not equivalent to trouble codes 1 - 16

Is there any way I could narrow it down?

No trouble last night when I parked.
This morning I turn it on, ABS light all day. Brakes are functioning normally.
This may be unrelated, but it was really warm today, some places are covered in pure ice, and my AWD seems to be intermittently kicking in stronger than the past few days.

Either way if it snows again I may be in trouble despite the fact I almost never use the ABS.
I did test it though, so it was functioning perfectly a few days ago. Brought me from 30 to 0 in like 10 feet in snow.

I don't know what a valve relay is, I don't know what the harness circuit is, and the other stuff is just really vague.

Ideas?

The SVX gods must not want me to get rims this spring, with all the stuff that keeps happening to my baby.

Code 10 is definitely a vague error. I've had it come and go without repair. I believe others have reported a bad ground or water near the ABS unit under the seat.

I definitely have water around my abs unit's ground, but nowhere near the seat.
Coolant is collecting there when I drive despite me efforts to seal the bastard.

Gimme a sec and I'll post up my franken radiator.

any chance you have snow packed up around the tone wheel and/or the ABS unit?

It's over 40* out today, and I park in a 50* garage.

Gale force winds through the night and morning cleared the roads of any moisture.

No snow.

It was pretty dirty so I took it through the wash today.

I wonder if there's some pebble stuck somewhere.

Sounds like you're referring to the sensor. That would trip a different code.

I was gonna get some quarters together and blast my engine bay down with water at the self wash. I'll go after the wheels as well.

The laser wash isn't exactly effective in places like that.

Check this. I'm gonna put a plastic bag over the ABS controller, and a balloon over this dangling dongle (connector) I found. Not sure what it goes to.

Good idea huh?

Course the rad might not be leaking next time I run.

I've got enough epoxy to constipate an African elephant.

Um, I looked over the ABS controller thingy, and I can't tell if anything is wrong. It looked all right, but there was water pooled around it. :/

I personally wouldn't wash my engine with a sprayer. The last time I did, all my belts dried out and started screaming. I had to replace them all. A proffesional car detailer from Toyota told me to just wipe the engine with a rag.

I would need like 764623 rags to wipe down my engine.
That and Mr. Fantastic arms.

I've got a spare belt for the one in there anyhow.
