Svx alternator part number misunderstanding
Hello,
I have bad alternator, found new on ebay, but the part number differs, Mine is #23700AA190, sellers #23700AA190R1. Could it be the same? Seller told that he took off the alternator from 1992 svx. Mine svx is 1992, 3,3l, 4wd Thanks in advance |

Your part number 23700AA190 is an original factory part. 23700AA190R1 is a factory remanufactured part. This information is from www.subaruparts.com
Both are the correct part for our SVXi. Good Luck,

R1 always indicates a remanufactured part. In many cases, the Remanufactured part takes the place of the new part, and the new part is no longer available. I'm not sure if that's the case with this part though.

Personally I wouldn't buy a rebuilt one but would rather take mine to a local starter/alternator shop. They can and will rebuild it just as good if not better than any other rebuilder for 1/2 the price.

Thank you,
I think I will buy the alternator. Mine alternator cant be repaired, because its body is damaged. |
